This workshop takes students from bookkeeping to preparing and understanding management information. Based on a practical exerercise, it is supported by handouts and presentational materials.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the workshop, the students should be able to:

• Generate a Profit and Loss account and a Balance Sheet from a given set of accounts
• Demonstrate an understanding of the Accruals Concept
• Demonstrate an understanding of Capital and Revenue
• Demonstrate an understanding of Rate of Return
• Demonstrate an understanding of Contribution Analysis

Workshop Duration

This half-day workshop is designed to follow the Finance, Bookkeeping workshop and precede the Finance, Management workshop.

Please note that it may not be possible to achieve all the learning objectives in shorter versions of workshops.
